Earning Media the Old Fashioned Way

Hershey’s represents one of the largest chocolate manufacturing brands in the word. Apart from having an original product Hershey’s also owns several other brands under its company umbrella such as Reese’s, Almond Joy, Jolly Ranchers & Twizzlers.

The Brief

Hershey’s is a very well-known international chocolate brand. The brand has distributors in Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand, but its principal awareness and marketing approach in the Malaysian market lacks local market presence. Hence, our objective for Hershey’s is to build local brand awareness and engage with a wider & stronger relationship with its consumers & community.

The Execution

By understanding Hershey’s targeted audience, we invited young influencers & mother KOL to join our influencer campaign for the launching of Hershey’s Cocoa Creation 2022. The influencers will receive a special PR gift & do a shout-out & giveaway for Hershey’s. (online campaign).

Thus, our strategy was to create awareness and exposure through the various local activities and events. Proposed activities such as local influencer campaigns and localized creative content such as design & copywriting throughout its content postings on their social media.

The Result

In just three months, Hershey’s has successfully increased their social media page reach to 207,721 and its page visits to 21,477. Riang Ria Raya Lucky Draw, the most popular post by quarter, attracted 52,463 users and 3,806 interactions. In addition, 646% more users have seen the top-performing organic post from the Hershey’s Cocoa Creation Challenge.
