Earning Media the Old Fashioned Way

Biome is a health food manufacturing company which markets in China & USA. They represent a strong fast growing brand that is dedicated to healthy living and the consumption of health manufactured food products. Products include diet supplements, manufactured juices, and their very own blender.

The Brief

Many people are sceptical about health products and there are plenty of existing well-developed and well-known brands in the market. Our challenge is to introduce Biome to the market and what makes the brand stand out from its competitors. Another obstacle that we faced is the strict law to follow for health-related products, such as the keywords, results comparison and more. Instead of focusing on the marketing direction, we developed the overall business direction planning for Biome. Thus, our objective is to build trust among the audience through real facts and testimonials.  

The Execution

The main objective was to highlight the ingredients and the fact that the products were 100% natural, halal and hormone-free. Emphasizing the result by real user testimonials to gain trust and confidence from consumers. By doing this, Biome would automatically spark interest among potential customers and increase its customer base. To gain exposure and social media presence, the products were endorsed by several influencers as brand ambassadors for the brand. A product soft launching event also was held and it is effective to introduce the newly established brand to the public. The purpose of this is to attract people to gain interest in Biome. Also, focusing on the ingredients and creating specific social media postings to highlight the benefits of each ingredient to create the essence of having a healthy lifestyle with Biome. Setting up a customer care hotline to follow up with consumers’ results and feedback to ensure their inquiries are well taken care of.

The Result

Throughout the process of product research and development, international business strategy, packaging design, brand CI, brand deck to social media strategy, Biome has built up its loyal supporters and followers who believe in the product’s quality and can maintain a healthy lifestyle. For the launching event during MCO, we invited 2 local celebrities, 50 influencers and several media to blast out the word. Moreover, implemented offline strategies like brand ambassadors, video production, billboard, and newspaper, as well as the website, influencer giveaway campaign, digital ads, and E-Commerce (Shopee and Lazada). In a short amount of time, Biome has received several approaches from the media platform (interview and article) as well as offers from Big Pharmacy.
